My name is Dan. I've been Ebaying for about the last 6 years or so. My main focus has been books, but now I'm looking to expand or change. Books don't seem to be doing that well for me unless they're certain technical ones. Most of my sales come from Amazon.

Hi Dan!

Welcome to the forum!

I have sold a lot of books on eBay...I have a passion for books... Shocked It is always hard for me to pass on box of books at an auction. Last time I bought several boxes, I ended up with some great finds! Couple of military books that sold for over $150 on eBay. I didnt realize they were in the boxes when I bought them. So now I need to find a place for the books that are left. I cant just throw them away! Maybe I should list on freecycle or craigslist. Any ideas?

I dont really have a main focus on eBay...I just sell whatever I find! Laughing Right now I am selling some stuff for my dad. He has TONS of great stuff! He went to auctions and bought all the stuff no one else wanted, and now it is actually worth something! Hope to get more listed soon.

Hi Dan (and Dee again...great to se u on here..lol!),

I like to sell books too..I agree my sales can be mixed. But I have learned so much at the feet of Craig Stark who runs Bookthink.com..his stuff is worth every penny. And one of his newsletters is free. Check it out.

So far my "no-brainer" book tips?

- any yearbooks..grab! The more famous/elite the school, the better, but almost any school sells well. People buy the older books for genealogical research. I just sold a couple 1930s-era yearbooks today to a lady researching her grandfathers.

- Two words: Harry Potter. I love JK Rowling! OK so I am a bit jealous. ;0 but hey, she's making me money too, coz almost any one of these resells well, esp as lots, and they're all over!

- Photographer books.

- books with color plates...BIRDS are great topics. People love birds. I love birds.

- Militaria...WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, etc. Oh and who could forget the Civil War.

All for now..we could go on and on. I'll be udpating my ebook about selling books for $50-$100 too. :-0 Sell on!

Julia
