|

Hey all,
Chuck had a great idea on a topic, so I decided to create a new topic for it. Below is Chuck's post from the "Please Introduce Yourself" folder asking about what's looking trendy for spring. -Thanks, Chuck! Everyone, please post your thoughts! - Julia
>>>Hi, I'm Chuck in Ohio and I yard sale, thrift shop and go to auctions. I like to collect postcards, and also sell postcards and old paper. I'm just getting started on this, and doing it part time, but it sure would be fun and it took off and I could spend all my time playing with old stuff.
What's looking trendy for spring? What memoribilia is going to be sought after in the next 6 months? And in what part of the country? I see a lot of Longaberger Items here locally. Any ideas?
Thanks for the forum Julia. And good luck everyone!

|
|
One of the more popular adult fiction genres is religious/motivational fiction which can often be found at yard sales. Many of the popular authors within the genre wrote short series consisting of anywhere from three to ten or more titles. These are almost always worth picking up when you come across them. For optimum results, I'd suggest selling a complete series as one lot.
Here's a few of the more popular authors in the genre to get folks started:
- Al Lacy
- Ted Kekker
- Janette Oke
- Linda Chaikin
- Gilbert Morris
- Karen Kingsbury
- Lauraine Snelling
- Dee Henderson
- Ann B. Ross
- Beverley Lewis
- Jan Karon
- Francine Rovers
- Anita Stansfield
- Dean Huges
- Lori Copeland
- Debra White Smith
- Bodie & Brock Theone
- Wanda Brunstetter
- Michael Phillips
- Francine Rivers
- Rachel Ann Nune
- Terri Blackstock

Great tips. Good books to snap up are the "Left Behind' series, and Chronicles of Narnia if u see them as sets.
And I buy any Harry Potter I see to sell as lots. Put 'em together as lots after u accumulate a few.
Sell on!
